Colon Street - the oldest street in the Philippines and built by the Spaniards in 1565. Named after Christopher Columbus and developed by Miguel Lopez de Legaspi, the Spanish conquistador who arrived in the Philippines to establish a colony, the place became the centre for commercial activities in downtown Cebu. At present, it is a shopping destination for bargain hunters.

Basilica Church Minore del Patron Santo Nino - a 16th century church in Cebu City in the Philippines. It was built purportedly on the spot where the image of the Santo Niño, a sculpture depicting the Holy Child Jesus found by Spanish explorers in 1565 preserved in a burned wooden box which was left behind during the 1521 Magellan expedition.

It is located in the area now called Plaza Indepedencia, in the Pier Area of Cebu City, Philippines.
University of San Carlos - the oldest school in the country established in 1565. This was formerly called Colegio de San lldefonso, established by the Jesuits.
